Brown is Beautiful

Here on the farm, nature has a magical way of showcasing beauty in the simplest of shades—and right now, brown is the star of the show.

Here on the farm, nature has a magical way of showcasing beauty in the simplest of shades—and right now, brown is the star of the show.
Picture
The ground and trees are the canvas that make the alpacas' coats truly pop.

From their soft whites and golden fawns to deep chocolates and sleek blacks, the herd displays a spectrum of natural hues that complement each other and their surroundings.

But the beauty of brown doesn't stop at the alpacas. We see it in nature's transitions:
  • The beige remnants of winter straw we've cleaned up from the paddock.
  • The brown waste hay that (constantly) accumulates below the hay racks.
  • The tan leaves blanketing the flower beds after a long, cold season (that I still need to clean up).
And as we are outside preparing for spring (and shearing), there are hints of green starting to emerge. Shoots of early flowers are peeking out, and blades of grass are pushing their way through the soil, reminding us that every season holds its own beauty—whether it's the earthy shades of brown or the vibrant greens of renewal.
So next time you are outside, take a moment to celebrate how nature harmonizes colors so perfectly, giving us a chance to enjoy the little things we often overlook.
