Thank you for being a friend of our herd!

We're thrilled that you love them and enjoy spending time with them in person and/or in your social media feed.

Speaking of feed... you are invited to feed the herd.

Yes, you can!

Select one (or more) of the alpacas' favorite things to eat and 'gift' it to them.

  • Bag of carrots ($5.00) - Their #1 favorite treat. It's one of the easiest ways to win them over.
  • Bale of hay ($15) - Hay is fundamental to the alpacas' daily diet and is available to them 24/7/365 days of the year -- and they eat a LOT of it. We don't feed them just any old hay. Alpacas are particular, preferring the softer grasses of second, third, or even fourth-cut hay (if we can get it). Each 45-50 lb bale will feed the herd for 2-3 days.
  • 25 lb bag of shredded beet pulp ($20) - Feeds the pregnant girls, and anyone who may be underweight, extra calories during the cold winter and early spring months. It makes them feel fuller and is easy to chew and digest. This is an additional forage supplement when pasture grass is unavailable.  Each bag will feed the alpacas for approximately 2 weeks.
  • 50 lb bag of alpaca grain ($25) - Essential and formulated to supplement hay nutrition and they LOVE it!! The alpacas are fed alpaca grain twice a day, and they know when it's feeding time when we whistle for them to dine at the feed rail. Each bag of grain will feed the herd for 4-5 days.
  • 40 lb bag of alpaca 'cookies' ($45) - These delicious treats, formulated by Mazuri feeds to be gentle on the alpaca digestive system, are a favorite of the herd -- second only to carrots. We always keep a handful of 'cookies' in our pockets, and the alpacas have gotten smart enough to know when we have them on hand. These yummy treats are perfect for winning over even the shyest alpacas who can't resist coming closer looking for a handout, which increases opportunities for hand-feeding them by visitors during farm tours. Big win! A bag of 'cookies' will treat the herd for 4-5 months.
  • 75 lb bale of alfalfa ($55) - A winter-only treat that the alpacas love to gobble up like candy. Alfalfa provides essential protein, but is fed to them in moderation so they don't develop digestive issues (like the bellyache you get when you eat too much candy - oy!) by mixing measured amounts in with their daily hay when pasture grass is unavailable. One bale will feed the alpacas for two winter months.
  • Pasture grass seed fund ($100) - Every Spring and early Fall, we spread 150+ pounds of blended pasture seed to grow grass that the alpacas love to eat. Pasture grass is the ultimate food for the herd, and they are at their happiest when grazing season arrives. But the pasture grass is more than just food for them. It's also a soft field for snoozing, sunbathing, pronking, running, and playing. Watching the herd enjoy themselves in the lush green field, feasting on sweet green blades, is one of the most serene moments we observe and share through photos and videos on social media.

You'll be happy you did because the alpacas will love it too.

Take joy in feeding the alpacas today and help keep our alpacas happy, healthy, and thriving. Every treat you gift -- whether it's a bag of their favorite carrots or a bale of soft hay -- makes a big difference in their lives.

Plus, each donation comes with a special surprise gift from us (on behalf of the herd) to show our gratitude with love and alpaca kisses.
